Who are we?
Splat was established in 2006 and is based in East Cheshire. It was founded by Jo Green and Vicky Groves, both Mums with teaching and arts and crafts experience.
What do we offer?
Our main focus is learning through fun. We all know it's easy to learn when you're enjoying yourself.
Splat offers the opportunity to explore creativity through different mediums. We introduce new ideas and techniques and encourage children to experiment with colour, texture and pattern. Sessions take place in a relaxed, friendly environment and activities are carefully planned to be age appropriate to allow children to reach their full potential.
Why are arts and crafts so important?
Research has shown that when creativity is developed at an early age, its benefits are continual and transferred to many intellectual tasks. Children learn to understand instructions, ask questions and interact with others helping them to develop and grow socially. Even very young children take pride in their own creations and gain a sense of achievement. All ages develop and improve their fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
